We design for the wall, then the wall wins

HOSTACK is a small design bench working in flat-pack storage furniture. We draw cabinets, sideboards, bookshelves and entryway cases, have them built from engineered panels, and sell them through a large retail partner rather than a showroom of our own. The catalog on this site is the same one you will find on the shop, laid out the way we would lay it out on a workbench: by room, by width, by what has to go inside.

Every piece we put out starts as a measurement problem. A sideboard that is three inches too deep turns a dining room into a squeeze. A bookcase an inch taller than the light switch means the switch is now behind furniture. So we publish the outer dimensions of everything, with the doors closed, and we build the site around them. The wall fit bench exists because that is the first question anyone actually asks.

What we make and what we do not

We make cases: a frame, shelves, doors or drawers, the hardware to hold them together and an anchor for anything tall enough to want one. Panels are engineered wood rather than solid lumber, which is what keeps a seventy-inch sideboard inside a price a normal room can justify. Handles and runners are metal. Instructions are numbered, parts are bagged by step, and the whole thing goes together on the floor with a handheld screwdriver in an afternoon.

We do not run a warehouse, a checkout or a returns desk. Orders, payment, delivery and anything that goes wrong with them are handled by our retail partner, whose listing every buy button here opens. That split is deliberate. It keeps our side of the work on drawings, dimensions and the plain description of what arrives in the box.

How the catalog is put together

Prices and availability shown here were read from the partner listing on the day the catalog was built, so treat them as a guide rather than a quote. The listing itself is always right. Ratings and review counts come from the same place; where a case is sold in several finishes under one listing, the finishes share the rating, and we count that as one design rather than four.
